ABBERTON RESERVOIR today

Photographs Above: Adrian Kettle
Highlights so far this morning include:

Juvenile SPOTTED SANDPIPER (still in Peldon Bay) - permits available from the visitor centre for EWT and EBS members only.
BLACK REDSTART (1 female between the Dam and Peldon Bay)
SMEW (2 drakes from Layer Breton Causeway)

EURASIAN SPOONBILLS (2 juveniles between the causeways)

Water levels in the reservoir are rising, but so is the flooding around the visitor centre and reserve. Please be advised that we are still open for business and visitors (especially paying customers!!!), but that wellingtons are a good idea!
